Orthodontics is one of the clinical dentistry, which studies the normal cranio facial growth and development, the function of cranio facial complex and the biome chanical tissue response. Based on these knowledge, orthodontic intervention and prevention of malocclusion, diagnosis and treatment of morphologic disharmony derived from the abnormality of the cranio facial complex are main area of study.
